About me

After spending 45 years as an architect, I have always had a passion for drawing and creating. I am now writing my love letter to architecture through depicting historic buildings and landmarks. My artistic process involves photographing buildings that I find interesting, sketching them in pencil, and then rendering them in pen and ink and sometimes adding a watercolor wash. My very specific style involves a lot of intricate line work delineating the building forms and adding shadows to flesh them out. As Architect / Artist 77, based in Salem, Virginia, United States, I offer unique architectural pen and ink and watercolor drawings of landmarks and historic buildings.
